Locos v Fort

STATEMENT Saturday's Breedon Highland Football League match at Harlaw Park against Fort William F.C. was postponed at 1.10pm by the match referee. The park had earlier passed an inspection from a local referee at 9am, with the outfield playable & the goalmouths & area in the shadow of the terracing all having been covered since Thursday morning. Whilst the entire playing surface was totally playable upon the match officials arriving, they felt the running zones for the two assistant referees were unsafe & called the match off. Both clubs feel this fixture could have been fulfilled on schedule, but respect that the match referee is the final arbiter. Inverurie Locos trained on the park until what would have been half time in the scheduled match. At every stage the SHFL protocols were followed, with Fort William FC & the SHFL Secretary kept up-to-date.
