There’s brilliant news to report tonight from Harlaw Park with confirmation that the talented Andy Hunter has penned a contract extension, keeping the player in a Locos jersey until at least the summer of 2021. Hunter, who joined the Railwaymen in June 2013 from Banks o’ Dee, is heading towards one hundred and fifty appearances in red & black, & has netted eighty goals. Andy’s first goal for the club was a dipping, swerving, long range free-kick against Burntisland Shipyard, with his penchant for the spectacular, often in semis, finals & major fixtures, earning him his ‘Big Game Hunter’ tag. The player netted thirty four times in all competitions last season & is currently getting close to regaining full fitness after a troublesome injury. Gaffer Neil Cooper, “It’s really pleasing to get Andy’s longer contract signed & sealed. He’s pivotal part of what we’re about here at the Locos & he adds real class to my group of players. Yet again I can only sing the praises of my Chairman & Vice-Chairman in securing another key player on a long deal”.
